The communty of Marebbe and its districts
The principal village of the community of Marebbe is San Vigilio di Marebbe but there are also other districts. The most important ones are:
Pieve di Marebbe (1281 m)
Pieve di Marebbe is only 4 km from San Vigilio and is a small agricultural village which has about 700 inhabitants. It is characterised by the presence of numerous agricultural businesses, called "farms", which offer typical local products such as cheese, honey and bacon. It is renowned for its church, considered the oldest in Val Badia.
Rina (1392 m)
Rina is 3 km away from Longega and is famous for its landscape and its proximity to Sasso Putia and Passo delle Erbe. The population of 500 inhabitants live primarily from agriculture. As a tip, you should visit the hut at Rina which benefits from its great position in the middle of nature.
Longega (1015 m)
Longega is the first village that you will encounter when you arrive to Val Baida. It rises where two rivers meet and from which it takes its name which means in Ladin "close to water".
